American Stock Dog Registry FETCH
2 Qualifying runs are required to title/pass each level.
Level 1 – FETCH
In Level 1, dogs must retrieve a toy (tennis ball, bumper, tug toy, ect.) that have been thrown 30 ft.
4 distractions will be used – lawn chair, boxes, totes, ect.
Dogs must do 3 single retrieves (left, middle, and right in any order). A single retrieve is defined by – the ball is thrown (by the handler or a helper), the dog is given the cue by the handler (Fetch, get it, ect.), then the dog retrieves the toy and bring it back to the handler.
The handler may hold the collar at the start line and release upon giving their “fetch” command once the ball has traveled 30 ft.
The dog must bring the ball back within 2 feet of the handler and past the start line.
Level 2 (Elite) – FETCH-E
In level 2 Dogs must retrieve a toy (or equivalent) thrown 50 ft.
8 Distractions will be used, in which the dog must go through. The dog should still be able to see the toy once it has been thrown and should have a direct line of sight.
4 Single retrieve must be preformed, one left, one right, one middle, and one of the handler’s choosing in any order.
Collar may be held at the start line and release upon giving their “fetch” command once the ball has traveled 50 ft.
Dog must bring the toy back within 2 feet of the handler and past the start line.
Level 3 Bronze Elite – FETCH – BE
In Level 3 Dogs must retrieve a toy (or equivalent) thrown 70 ft.
8 Distractions will be used, in which the dog must go through. The dog should still be able to see the toy once it has been thrown and should have a direct line of sight.
5 Single retrieve must be preformed, one left, one right, one middle, and two of the handler’s choosing in any order.
Handler must NOT hold the collar and dog must stay until release word is given once the ball has traveled 70 ft.
Dog must bring the toy back within 2 feet of the handler and past the start line.
